I started my career as a Deputy District Attorney for the 4th Judicial District in El Paso County, Colorado. During my time at the DA's office, I handled thousands of cases, including DUI, domestic violence, felonies, misdemeanors, traffic offenses, and juvenile cases. I strived to protect the interests of the community as well as those of the individual. I quickly learned that that the individual can often be overlooked, and that the greatest benefit for someone in a criminal case is to have a competent and effective trial attorney at their side.
As a defense attorney, I have helped many people navigate the complex criminal justice system. The knowledge I gained as a former prosecutor has provided invaluable perspective for my clients, resulting in much better outcomes than they would have otherwise received. I take great pride in helping people handle complex situations with compassion and understanding. One the best things that an attorney can do for you is listen to you and address your needs and concerns. This is what I enjoy most about working with my clients- getting to know you, your needs, and making sure that you and your needs are heard and taken into account.
I graduated from The University of Denver- Sturm College of Law. I participated in the Student Trial Lawyers association, where I realized I had a passion for presenting cases in a courtroom. During my final year of law school, I began working as an intern for the 4th Judicial District Attorney's office. Prior to that, I worked as an intern for two private firms in Denver, CO which specialized in insurance litigation and estate planning. Prior to law school, I attended and graduated from Brigham Young University- Idaho, where I majored in English Literature and Philosophy. I spend as much time as I can with my family, enjoying beautiful Colorado and the great city of Colorado Springs to its fullest.
